Riley’s Rescue Story

Riley’s Rescue of Brevard is a 501(c)(3) organization established here in Brevard County to help rescue mostly abandoned and some abused or just down on their luck dogs. We have taken a few kittens and cats under our rescue as well.

Become a Foster Family or Fur Parent.  Spread the word and help find these babies their forever home.

Don’t Delay Help Us Today !

Why?

Simple, because they need us. Also, because our founder Marcia Riley had a dream that no animal should be left behind and she cannot save them all. We help one animal at a time.  One four-legged fur baby with a broken heart, sometimes battered body and a bruised soul.  One of God’s fury creatures who just needs a break and a chance for a better tomorrow.

When:

Although only officially registered as a 501(c)3 Non-Profit in 2018, Marcia and her band of Merry Rescuers have been saving lives for over 10 years. Thanks to her and her friends, quite a few fur babies have found their forever homes. There have been many “Foster Fails” where the pet wins the hearts of the foster family and becomes a permanent member of their family, too.

Where:

We are based in Palm Bay, Florida but have loving foster families throughout the county.  We are always looking for a few good families to assist us with this huge honor as well as commitment.

How else you can Help:

  1. We are always looking for foster parents to help get pups ready for their furever home.

  2. We need people who are skilled in training dogs to get them ready for their new home.

  3. We need people who KNOW Squarespace to help with the website.

  4. We need admin help.

  5. We need social media help.

Dexter.JPG

“I adopted Dexter approximately 3 months ago. He has brought so much happiness into my life! I cannot thank Marcia and Riley Rescue enough. When I first saw Dexter, I knew he was the right dog for my family. My only hesitation was whether he would be scared by my cat or dog who consider themselves the bosses of the house! I discussed this fear with Shelby, the rescue dog care manager, and Marcia and they agreed to have Shelby bring Dexter to my home and to observe the interactions. Both Shelby and Marcia promised to remain available if I had any concerns during the two-week fostering period. Shelby made sure Dexter arrived with a leash, a harness, food, medication, and treats. He received full medical care and a microchip prior to coming into my home.

Shelby and Marcia remained available to me after the initial two-week period whenever I had a question or a concern. They were always friendly and gave the time necessary to let me know they remain invested in Dexter’s safety and happiness following the adoption. They gave willingly the advice and assistance needed to keep Dexter happy and Marcia continues to follow up with me each week.

I have been impressed by this organization and the great work they do. I am invested in volunteering my time to this organization to ensure others are successful in the adoption process and receive the blessings Dexter has given to me. I am so grateful to Marcia and Shelby as is Dexter! Dexter has fit in perfectly with our family and our neighbor loves dog-sitting him as he gets along so well with her two smaller dogs. God bless you Riley Rescue; you deserve to know that all of your hard work with Dexter has paid off and to enjoy your success. ”
